This guide covers money and receipts. The Money tab is where your payments, receipts, and reports live. Your tax reports are at the bottom of the Money tab. Everything you record stays on the appointment it belongs to, so a receipt always matches a real visit. The rule that never changes: you connect your own accounts, and money settles straight to you. JLB never touches your card payments and never holds your money. Open the Get paid screen to connect the ways clients pay you. A way to get paid only shows on that screen once it is ready to use. In person, nothing is automatic. You key the amount into your own terminal yourself, then mark the appointment paid in the app. There is no "send to terminal" button yet. Keying the amount yourself is how in-person payment works today. For e-transfers, you set it up once: the email address your e-transfers land at, and a phone number if you want one. If autodeposit is on for that email, tick the autodeposit box, and clients need no security question. Without autodeposit, you set a security question and answer that clients use. When a client pays ahead by e-transfer, they send it from their own banking app and tap "I've sent it". That shows as waiting, not paid. When the money lands, you tap Mark received on the appointment, and only then is it recorded as paid. With Stripe, you connect your own Stripe account. Once it is connected and active, clients can pay ahead by card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay, on Stripe's own secure page. The money goes straight to your bank through Stripe. Your receipts carry your business's receipt identity from Settings: your name, your tax numbers, and your contact details. Set it once, and every receipt prints it. The next guide covers clients and messages.
